Monday we got up and went to Enchanted Forest! We all had a fun time there see everything. When we got back from Enchanted Forest Grandma and Grandpa had everything ready to roast hot dogs in the back yard. Everyone loved roasting hot dogs and eating smores!
Connor loved running laps through the saloon.
Tuesday Grandma took us all to OMSI. Lily came with us too. It is always hard to pull my nerdy guys away when it is time to come home. :) One of the funny things that happened at lunch was when Lily said "Eeewww! I don't want to share with a boy!" Lauren just laughed and laughed and laughed. She must have been thinking "I really don't have any other choice." But yes I get how sharing with a boy (not your brother) could be super gross! We had fun in the evening playing outside.
Bradley really did not like wearing the goggles!
Wednesday we went to Silver Falls. We had a great time hiking around and seeing all the waterfalls. We didn't have time or energy to do the whole loop, but we were able to see 7? of the waterfalls along the loop trail. These guys are great hikers! We got stuck in traffic every day on the way home through Portland. Scott and Bethany and Lily and Maggie came over and ate dinner with us. Then we had a fun time playing.
(Why change clothes...we're on vacation!)
Bradley didn't want to hike down a steep part to get to the bottom of the waterfall, so we kept each other company.
Thursday we just stayed around town. We went and spent most of the afternoon with Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Schachterle. We went out to lunch at Arby's and then back to their house to play. Grandpa Schachterle had surgery on his arm that morning. Alan and Lindsay and their kids arrived early! the night before and were staying at Great grandma Schachterle's house. The Jones, Scott and Bethany, and us all ate and Grandma's and had a fun time playing.
Meeting Adam
The marble tube is always a favorite! It's what Jared could remember from 3 years ago.
Friday we went down to Fort Vancouver in the morning and past the new library in downtown Vancouver. Friday afternoon we played at Grandma's house and tried to help get ready for the reunion. We also went and picked some blackberries. Part of us went over and played at Scott and Bethany's house for a bit.
Blackberries are yummy!
Saturday we played more! We also excitedly awaited the arrival of Ashley and Will and Jeff and Elizabeth and Brett. Jared, Lauren, Bradley, and Connor all wanted to wait out front for everyone, but of course their timing was off. I helped Grandpa and Grandma make a yummy dutch oven dinner. Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Schachterle and McAllister, Uncle Mark and his family, Christopher, Kirk, and Uncle Dale all came.
Thanks Ash and Will!
Sunday we all went to church. Then in the afternoon we went to Scott and Bethany's house for a yummy dinner! We had fun visiting and playing.
Getting the right pose.
