Last Monday was a really nice warm day....close to 90. I think we just spent a lot of time outside...Alan did clean the bathroom, maintenance brought us a new toilet seat and light bulbs, Alan registered our car, and did a little other cleaning around here. We had family home evening early and ate dinner then Alan went down to campus to get some work done.
Playing Monday morning...
Tuesday was our anniversary. I woke up to a decorated apartment and fun writing on the mirrors and shower walls. I made a coconut cake with coconut filling and cream cheese frosting. We all loved it!!!
Wednesday Grandma came!!!! After school we went up to the Church History Museum and played in the children's part. Then headed over to to airport to pick up Grandma. We stopped and got little ceasers pizza to eat on the way home....which was quite the adventure....and Connor screamed the whole way.
Thursday Grandma and I went to Women's Conference. We heard a lot of great talks. We came home to go to Jared and Laurens soccer games. Jared scored a goal...They both did great. Then we went back to Women's Conference. Alan and the kids survived...They spent a lot of the day playing monopoly...Jared had to draw the board for Thursday, but they found it for Friday.
Friday was more of the same...but we were home about 5 and it was a dinner day :) Alan went to the lab and did a code jam in the evening...the rest of us tried to go see some fireworks...They were after a softball game, but we didn't know when it was getting over....so we missed them. Mom, Connor and I lost Jeff, Elizabeth, Jared, Lauren, and Bradley....We found them then at Jeff and Elizabeth's house entertaining Elizabeth's family on Skype.
Saturday Jared had another soccer game...and scored several more goals. We went swimming, to winco, folded (and did) some laundry, and made homemade pizza. It was a pretty fun day. We made our own pesto sauce and Jeff and Elizabeth brought asparagus....it was super yummy.
Today Alan had 15 kids in his primary...there were only 28 there in the whole primary. I did singing time. After church almost everyone took a nap. We made Indian food for dinner and had a fun time skyping with Grandpa and Greg....and hearing funny stories from Grandma (last night too).
Connor rolled over to his back...once each way.
See Grandma really is here.
Yummy Yummy food!!!!
The first thing Jared said to me this morning was no tv week is over...I can play computer (headsprouts) on Monday. We are looking forward to another fun week, but sad to have to say bye to Grandma....and to have dad gone for a night...which will seem like two.
